Good People

Today, I spent most of my day hauling & throwing away carpet, carpet padding, tile boxes, and vinyl flooring. Rodell, the man who’s been working on installing our flooring, stopped to help me fill up the trailer. Why? He’s a good guy!

I drove the stuff to the church dumpsters, and Brian Newton meets me outside and offers to help me unload the stuff. Why? He’s a nice guy! One of His employees (Hosea) stopped what he was doing, and came to help me clean out the trailer as well. Why! A good man!

Later in the day, I was hauling boxes, and just misc stuff from our house, and storing it in our new garage. My new neighbor John just happened to be outside, and offered to help unload the boxes. Why? He’s a good guy!

Lesson learned: Make yourself available to others & help serve them. When you do that, not only will you be blessed, but you’ll bless the person/s your serving. I was truly blessed today, by all those acts of kindness. No one had to do anything, but they chose to, Why? They’re flat “Good People!”
