It was great having Dave Ramsey at www.epicchurchlv.org today. OK, not in person, but larger than life on our 9×12 screen. He really knocked it out of the park on “The Basics of Biblical Finance.” I’m looking forward to the weeks ahead, and the continuation of equipping the church on proper stewardship of the resources that God has given us.
Here’s the outline that we covered, and feel free to ask any questions that you may have. I’m more than willing to point you in the direction of finding the financial help you may need.
1) Get out of ____Debt____.
“ The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. ”
—Proverbs 22:7 (NRSV)
2) Act your ____Wage______.
“ A foolish man devours all he has. ” —Proverbs 21:20 (NIV)
3) Get on a ____Budget____.
“ For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down firstand count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it? ”
—Luke 14:20 (NKJV)
4) ___Plan____ and invest.
“ In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil. ”
—Proverbs 21:20 (NIV)
5) __Give___.
“ Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food
in My house. ” —Malachi 3:10 (NKJV)
Next week you’ll be equipped to get out of debt. You’ll learn about Gazelle intensity & you will also learn about the debt snowball. Good stuff! Don’t forget about “The Town Hall for Hope”, this Thursday, April 23rd, 7:00 P.M. at www.epicchurchlv.org. Dave will be coming live to us, and addressing the country on the difficult financial issues we’re facing.
