One of the things that really stokes my fire is seeing people get the help they need. If I could solve world hunger, I would! If I could bail everybody out of financial duress, I would! If I could heal every-body’s pain, I would! Reality – I can’t! But………I can sure point people in the right direction. I can put tools in the hands of people, and teach them how to use them. That in & of itself is a major motivating factor for me pastoring a local church. There’s nothing like the local church when it’s working right, and it’s working right when it’s helping it’s people, it’s community, and the world in tangible life giving ways.

This weekend we put a big tool into the hands of the people at www.epicchurchlv.org. We’re simulcasting best selling author and financial expert Dave Ramsey into our building. We’ll be equipping people on the basics of biblical finance, getting out of debt, and teaching people the myth about money. People are trying to make sense of the economy & Dave Ramsey is going to catapult individuals, and family’s into financial freedom, if they will take the biblical knowledge and the tools they’re given and use them?

On top of that, we’re one of 3 church’s in the Las Vegas Valley hosting what is called the “Town Hall for Hope”, to air Thursday, April 23rd, live at 7:00 P.M.. Yes, you’re invited, and no you don’t have to be an attendee of Epic Church to participate. In fact I love blessing other church’s, and even people that don’t attend local church’s, with resources that have no strings attached. Man, I love that!!:) April 23rd Dave Ramsey will be coming live via satellite into our building at 8755 W. Warm Springs Rd – Ste 105, Las Vegas, NV 89148. In this nationwide town hall meeting, people all over the country are going to discover what’s happening with the economy, how we got here, and where we’re going. Plus, Dave will answer your questions live throughout the event! Pretty cool, huh!!

OK, I’m almost done but not quite. In the last two years, we’ve graduated just over 100 people from our campus ministry called “Financial Peace University”. What is more amazing about those 100 people, about 75% don’t even attend Epic church, but just came from the community. Cool!! Epic Church will be hosting free previews for Financial Peace University, Wed, April 29th, Wed, May 6th, and than launching a new university, Wed, May 13th. All evening events begin at 7:00 P.M., and include childcare. What will it ultimately cost? Well, you have to come to the preview to find out, and I promise you, you won’t be disappointed! In fact in the next couple weeks, in the Sunday A.M. services, people are going to be hearing real life testimonies of how individuals, and couples have become completely debt free in the last couple of years. Amazing!! It has been so rewarding to watch as people move from financial bondage to liberty. My wife & I have experienced the freedom ourselves. Literally in the last few years 650,000 families across North America have completed FPU with amazing success. On average, they pay off $5,300 in debt and save $2,700 in just 13 weeks. That’s an $8,000 change in position in just 91 days!
