Million Leaders Mandate

A few years ago I began a partnership with a leadership organization out of Atlanta, GA, called “Equip” who’s founder & CEO is John C. Maxwell. If you’re a student of leadership you’ve probably read a few of his books. Equips purpose is to equip Christian leaders internationally, and since 2003, over 3,000,000 people have graduated from “Equips” schools of leadership. It’s truly a God thing, and I’m honored to be a part. We’ve only but begun, and as you’ll read from my note below, I ask for your prayers as we begin to traverse areas of the world that are very hostile to God, the church, and raising up of Christian leaders.

Last month, about 100,000 copies of EQUIP’s training materials were
confiscated by Chinese National Authorities. Our key on-the-ground
printing partner escaped and is in hiding. The police took our
notebooks into custody. The printing partner’s van was left behind at
the printing/shipping company. The police searched the van and found
information as to the destination cities for the notebooks.
Consequently, it became very easy for the police to discover not only
that these notebooks existed, but also of their destinations….all
which are associated with a certain house church group.

Here’s the amazing thing: When the police examined the EQUIP material,
they concluded that it did not belong to a cult or heretic group(s).
They, however, are studying the materials to make sure it is not
questionable or subversive.

Today, my immediate prayer request is that as they examine the
material, they will not find fault with the content. Pray that the notebooks will be released and that the additional copies needing to be printed, get finished and to the new conference destinations. Pray that the police will not pursue this issue beyond the present point. Pray for the wisdom and safety for house church leaders, upcoming trainingconferences and future security challenges. Pray, pray, pray – for these are the lives of our brothers & sisters in Christ who want to train new levels of Christian leaders. They live their lives in these realities every single day!
