I have just a few minutes before leaving AZ, and wanted to post a leadership poem that Mike Chapman wrote following many events that occurred in Brian Head, UT this past weekend. Mike also has his children’s book debut this weekend at Epic. I will post that later, but wanted you to read his poem. The poem may mean nothing to you because you weren’t there, because there’s all kinds of hidden meanings. I guess this post is for you men that attended. It was read on Sunday morning after we had worship together.
“Eagles, Warriors and Leaders” – by Michael Chapman
The eagle mounts up, above the darkness it soars
The Fire of God, burns through our locked doors
The Anointed Word sinks in and it grips our hearts
The Lord cracks the dark ice of secrets, hidden darts
The rush of Faith pours in like a crashing blitz
The wild beast of self broken, no more tricks
The Warriors change, these leaders grow
The Words of love fall, like driven snow
The presence of the One, found in worship
The place we have found, leadership
The cry of the world, “Men of Integrity!!!!”
The call answered, by Leaders of unity
The laughter opens our souls, in comes trust
The complete total price paid by all, a must!
Mike, thank you for some great reflective insight. Lead on man of God!
