Vision 2009 #3

You’ve arrived at the 3rd vision we believe God is calling “Epic Church – Las Vegas” to in 2009.  We believe the prior 2 visions of prayer & mentoring will give birth to the 3rd, but never the final vision of God.

A local church of Christ Followers, truly seeking God, will supernaturally  metamorphosis into something the likes that they’ve never seen before.  You will watch History Makers give birth. Not for their glory, but for the glory of the one who fearfully, and wonderfully made them.

The below vision addles me to the core, because I feel I sit in the hub of economic despair in Las Vegas.  I see it & hear it everyday as a pastor. God help the church rise up to be your living, moving, loving body to the world!!!

Vision #3 -  Benevolence - Unleashing, unprecedented amounts of compassion into our broken world.

Here’s a brief summary of what I shared.

I said “We’re going to ask God to help us as we move to help the community”  I said “there are 3 things we’re going to ask God to do in and through us in the area of benevolence.”   I laid it out, and then challenged each person with a question.

First if the church corporately and individually is going to unleash, unprecedented amounts of compassion – they must….

1. See it clearly! - What are we to do?

2.Show it creatively! - How can we do this?

3.Model it constantly! - Epic Church will be looking for opportunity’s to touch lives, but the body at large must selflessly bring opportunities to the table and lead the charge.  We’re praying that God will raise up a Missional Director!!!  Is it you?

Note: A great resource I’m taking our staff through right now is the book “Axiom” by Bill Hybel’s.  Get it, read it, ingest it, digest it, and then regurgitate it.  Dunamis!!
